SynQuest Laboratories invites application for a position as Database Manager in our busy Catalog department. Responsibilities include migration of existing database to graphics oriented platform, maintenance of the database, liaison with other departments and overseas divisions, and development of a new website with substructure searching and real-time pricing / inventory. The successful candidate will demonstrate a good knowledge of organic nomenclature, experience with chemical graphics software such as JChem or ISIS base, experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle or OpenInsight, and familiarity with website design and management. Preference will be given to candidates whose experience includes JChem / Advanced Revelation / OpenInsight /SQL / programming skills. Required Qualifications: B.Sc. in chemistry and M.Sc. or Ph.D. in chemistry / computational chemistry / computer science.
