Hello All,
NIH NCATS in Rockville, Maryland, USA has long term cheminformatics scientist / software engineer positions open. The positions gives you an opportunity to contribute to cutting edge cheminformatics/bioinformatics platform development. It also provides an opportunity to publish in scientific journals along with colleagues at NCATS. The software and algorithms you develop would have public exposure and will be made available through the open source community. You would be part of a stellar team of other cheminformatics/bioinformatics scientists and developers. NCATS informatics team has co-authored over 300 peer reviewed journal articles and book chapters in the past 8 years. The team has developed several informatics tools using Java and web-based technologies. In addition to informatics research, the team contributes to NCATS' mission of developing therapeutics for rare and neglected diseases.
Experience using JChem and an advanced knowledge of Java is required.
