Fresh installation of the latest version 5.11.3.822. Click "Licenses" icon, click Browse ...
Navigation in the file dialog is extremely slow, click to open a folder, it takes many seconds for the content to be updated. Tried this on two Win7 computers, 32 and 64 bit.
Performance is a bit better for browsing local file folders, but almost unusably slow if I point it to a \\network\folder.

Just test it again on another computer, even with opening local files, it is very slow. Looks like this is a Java-based File Dialog is used somehow in this C#/C++ Add-In program. Probably need to replace that by any C# File Dialog will significantly improve the performance. Thanks

Unfortunately, this is an IKVM issue. Known issue.

Is there a plan to replace this piece with C# code? The look and feel and the performance of that dialog looks like a different product than an Office Add-In. Anyway, just a suggestion, a user would only have to bear with it once, so I don't care about this too much. But I reported because I thought you guys care, as the sluggish dialog gives an unpolished feeling of the J4X product. Thx.

OK, thanks we try to fixed this on ikvm side for the next release 5.12 or 5.13.
