JChem for Excel installation problem

Hi all,

 

I am trying to installing the JChem for Excel for evaluation but
encountered a problem during the installation. The message window
showed "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing
this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error
code is 2908."


I appreciate it very if you could help me to solve this problem.

Dear Jifeng,

I think the problem could be, that the .NET Framework is missing from you computer. Please download and install it from the following location:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=5B2C0358-915B-4EB5-9B1D-10E506DA9D0F&displaylang=en

Most probably you will need the following: NetFx20SP2_x86.exe

In the next version 1.1.3, we will have also installers bundled with .NET Framework.

have you tried to install .NET Framework with SP2?
