JChemExcel Functions is not shown

Hello,


After downloading and installing Setup Wizard to my computer, I don't see CXNSharedAddin and JChemExcel Functions in add-in to activate, even after I clicked  Automation. I am not sure whether installation was not completed or there is any step I missed.

Please check if your MS Office bit version (might be 32-bit, even if your Windows is 64-bit!!!) and the JChem for Office installer bit version is the same: if your MS-Office is 32-bit, then you have to use the installer that ends with "x86".

My excel version is indeed 32-bit, so I uninstalled the JChem for 64-bit, and then reinstalled the JChem that ends with x86. However, Error 1001 showed up during installation. Any idea?

could you verify that .NET Framework 3.5 is installed?

I assume that the installer correctly placed the mentioned file to the following location:


C:\Program Files (x86)\ChemAxon\Shared\SharedAddin

Hi Tamas,


I am using windows 7 but I have checked the .NET Framework 3.5.1 is installed and checked, but the same error message still shows up during installation of JChem.

Hi Pin,


could you check if any "Installer.log" file is produced under:


C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\ChemAxon\CXNSharedAddin


in addition, you could try to download our MSI installer package (from the same place as the EXE), and start it from command prompt with the following:


msiexec /i "C:\JChem_For_Office_16.5.3000.824.x86.msi" /L*V "C:\log\example.log"

Note: You should substitute the location of the msi file, and where you want to place the log.


When it is done, please post the logs here, or you could aslo send us by mail to:

It works now after I re-installed the version for administrator.
