I have recently upgraded to Windows 10 and Office 2013 only to realise that JChem for Excel is not compatible with this combination. When is the likelihood that this will be possible?
Regards,
Lauren

Hi Lauren,
We made a full test and found a few issues on Windows 10, and we are working on the fixes. After that we will run a new test round, and hopefully will officially support Windows 10, but currently I cannot give you an exact date of that release.
It would be useful to know what is the issue on your environment, to make sure that the ongoing fixes will cover that situation as well. Could you please describe?
Best regards,
Akos

Do you have specifics that are not working with Windows 10 and Office 2013 (32bit). We have a limited deployment of Windows 10, Office 2013, JC4XL and everything seems to be functioning.

Hi,
We have no known issues on this environment (O2013-32-bit, Windows 10), however, Windows 10 is not fully supported, we have a few issues on Office 2016.

We are currently running Windows 10 + Office 2013 (64-Bit) and the JChem plugin immediately crashes Excel.

Hi Wolfgang,
Thank you for feedback. Could you, please describe a bit more, what does "immediately" mean? You start the product, than crashes, or you try to add a structure and then crashes? Or did you press a button in ribbon? Which version of JCXL are you using?
Thanks,
Anna

Hi Anna,
I just realized that there is a new version. After upgrading to 16.1.2500, everything seems to work again.
Best regards,
Wolfgang

Dear George
JChem for Excel 6.0 should support Office 2010, but we recommend to upgrade to the latest version of JChem for Office.
Best regards,
Tamas.

Hi George,
Yes, of course, 6.0 version is compatible with win 7, O2010. But, if you experience issues, please, check if your installer and Office version fit to each other: both should be 32-32 or 64-64 bit.
Or please, describe more in details the issue you are facing with.
Regards,
Anna

Hi Anna,
Does JC4E also work well in Win10 64bit with office2010 32bit?
I do not like to change my win10 to win7.
Please help to check it.
Thanks a lot.

George

Hi George,
Yes of course, we are compatible with Win10 64bit, Office2010 32bit. (We only have issues with 64-bit Office on Windows 10.)

Anna
