Few JfO crashes & Suggestions

Few bugs (may be). Windows 7 Pro 64bit with MS Office Pro Plus 2010.

While installing JfO, prerequisites are mentioned as MICROSOFT OFFICE 2007 PRIMARY INTEROP ASSEMBLIES. But I need to install 2010 PRIMARY INTEROP ASSEMBLIES. So it is recommended to please include download links for both 2007 and 2010 PRIMARY INTEROP ASSEMBLIES, so that the user won't be confused.

The other issues is when I am trying to add structures in MS Word, the Marvin interface is different and when I click on OK, I get the following warning message

Exception: System.Exception

Message: CXNShared addin is not available!

StackTrace:    at JChemForOffice.JChemAddinBase.get_SharedAddin()

   at JChemForOffice.SharedAddinAdapter.CreateSharedAddinStructureFromMoleculeData(IJChemMolecule molecule, DataEmbedding dataEmbedding)

   at JChemForOffice.JChemAddinBase.AddStructure(DataEmbedding dataEmbedding)

But if I try to copy paste the structures from Marvin to Word, it is pasted as OLE object. 

And other JChem features in word do not support it.

 

Please let me know how to fix this,

• I think we need to have O2007 interop assemblies since we refer to the older dlls ... So it is not confusing it is a must have. (O2007 is for redirecting the O2007 references to O2010 real dlls, I think)


• Please try to get the SharedAddin working from Options/Addins to eliminate this error message


• Marvin to Word as an OLE object is not a JChem for Office object, which can be edited without JChem for Office
