Hi,
A user was creating a spreadsheet with column groups, the structures would "float" in cell once grouping is set. It doesn't matter if structures were showing or not showing at the time of the grouping.
Also, in a spreadsheet where grouping was done, a SDF file would be import. Structures would not be centered in cell as well.
We are using JChemfor Excel 5.11.5
Please let me know if you have any suggestions to prevent the structures from rendering outside the cell.

Hi Viktor,
Will there be a fix in any new versions for this?

We have ideas, but not an easy to do (obviously they can only be workarounds) since Micrososft does not give any help in the API to find the position of cells ...

Was this ever solved? We're having the same issue here.
Thanks

No it was not.
But we have a good chance to fix it this year for 6.2.

Hi Eileen,
our 6.1.0 is very-very close to the release date, we have to do the final fixes - mostly installer changes.
So at the same time we started focusing on the 6.2 release line, and made some tests on the prototype regarding the grouping/outlining issue. To make it absolutely safe weith my collegue we have decided to introduce a new option to support both the original approach and the new one fixing the flaoting structures.
As Erin promised we would be about to roll out a test version of 5.12 this week. (Link will be posted in this forum)
If this test will be successful then it would mean we have the chance to roll the fix out even in 6.1 release line in a patch e.g. 6.1.1 or 6.1.2 if it is very urgent. 6.1 patches can be done in early October.

The issue has been fixed in 6.1 late September.
