I export an excel spreadsheet to an SDF file. One of the columns had a space at the end of the header. When I imputted the SDF file to our database, the column containing the header with a space at the end did not get updated.
Please put in an option to trim header name upon exporting to an SDF or have it do it automatically.
Attached are screenshot that show the issue.

Hi Eileen,
thank you for the report, we are discussing it if it can go into 6.0 and let you know about the result.

Hi Eileen,
we will enhance the export with automatically trimming since we do not see any case where the sapces at the end of the string would have any functionality.
For the time being (6.0 is not released) please manually repair the Excel sheet header.
Our question would be to you is how you imported these headers to the worksheet:
- Manually you typed
- Imported from the database (with column editor - because database cannot contain spaces at the end of the word)
- Imported from another wrong SDF (exported by another program not handling spaces too)
Thanks,
Viktor

Hi Viktor,
I encountered to problem while manually typing my headers in an Excel cell. I then export it to SDF after.
Other times I do import an SDF file which is more common. I have not yet encounter the problem in this situation but it is possible since the SDF file are usually from Excel.
Rarely do we load into Excel straight from the database.
Thanks,
Eileen
