what is the relationship between the two "-f" para

I'm trying to cluster a set of molecules based on chemical fingerprints, but I just found that both generatemd and ward have a parameter -f. I really don't know what the relationship between the so-called fingerprint-length and fingerprint-size.


Any help would be appreciated!

fingerprint size and length are the same, just the terminology is a bit sloppy sometimes.
