Hi,
Can some one help me representing the attached examples in a single markush? The attached image is taken from a patent which contains a single markush formula with three examples. And all the three examples have variating r-groups at R8 & R2.
Thanks,
Yogitha

There are multiple ways to do this. You may use separate Markush cores to represent fused ring and without fused ring. This is recommended.
Or you can use one Markush structure (attached). You can draw R2 and R8 fused twice, then after adding the attachment
points, split one of them into two fragments. This way you can handle
the fused/non fused problem. (The trick is you have to first sketch the two fragment in one bonded structure. Then add two attachment points. Then remove the bond connecting the fragments.)
