I'm using PLP to extract structures from some Word documents using the Scitegic Embedded Molecules Reader then inserting into a JChem Base table (structures). However, some of the extracted items are markush so I need a way of detecting this and re-directing the insert into a different (markush) table.

Please open a new thread in the future if your question is not strongly connected to the previous question (JChem Cartridge is a different product than JChem Base).
I have split your question into a new thread.
I recommend using the "ChemAxon Chemical Terms Filter" component.
The function "isMarkush" should determine if a structure has Markush features:
