Hi all,
We are using JChem 5.3. for our chemistry db, chemical searches etc. and want to extend our use to your new Structure Checker (AbbreviatedGroupChecker,
AliasChecker , MultiCenterChecker, PseudoAtomChecker,
QueryBondChecker...).
The Developers License we received from Alex for that purpose does not work though:
"chemaxon.license.LicenseException: No valid license has been found.
Product name: Structure Checker"
http://www.chemaxon.com/devel/marvin/help/structurechecker/checker.html states: "Structure checker's command line interface and API for batch usage requires
a Standardizer Pro licence"
Reading the license.cxf sent from Alex shows that there is neither 'Standardizer Pro' nor 'Structure Checker' license included.
Can you provide us with a new, compliant license file?
BTW: the Reactor license in the provided license is broken (<Restriction Name="B/S/P/E" Value=""/> leads to an exception). Luckily we don't need it and removed it.
If you need the license file, tell me. I don't want to publish it here in the forum without your consent.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers
vincent

Hi,
I am sorry this function is not yet available.
I got wrong information.
We have a single mode structure checker feature available in Marvin but not in batch mode with Standardizer.
I Ask your patience in this matter.

Hi Nora,
so I understood correctly:
at the moment it is not possible to use code e. g.:
List<StructureCheckerResult> checkerResults = new ArrayList<StructureCheckerResult>();
// Only contracted abbreviated groups will be detected.
AbbreviatedGroupChecker abbreviatedGroupChecker = new AbbreviatedGroupChecker();
checkerResults.add(abbreviatedGroupChecker.check(molecule));
with the API published http://www.chemaxon.com/jchem/doc/api/chemaxon/checkers/AbbreviatedGroupChecker.html.
When will this feature be available?
Greetings
vincent

I think, we misuderstood the issue. We have no batch mode application (GUI or command line) yet, but the API should work already. My colleagues will check the problem and get back to you asap.

Hello Alex,
Is the Standardizer Pro licence available for academic users? I have the same problem when I tried to use Structure Checker APIs:
chemaxon.license.LicenseException: No valid license has been found.
Product name: Structure Checker
I checked my current license file and found that there is only a Standardizer licence, not a Standardizer Pro licence.
Thanks.
Best,
Jeff

Hi Alex,
I have a similar problem with my license. I get the following error:
Error:
No valid license has been found.
Product name: Structure Checker
License path: /instances/home/umbbd/.chemaxon/license.cxl
Please contact sales _at_ chemaxon.com to obtain the corresponding license.
Students and academic researchers are entitled of free use
through our Academic Package, for more information
please visit: http://www.chemaxon.com/acpack_conditions.html
I guess I need an updated version of the license file. Could you please send it over?
Thanks
Best regards,
Kathrin

Dear Kathrin,
The Standardizer Pro license was a temporary license which does not exist any more. We moved all the functionality of the Standardizer Pro license to a new product's license - it is now available as Structure Checker. Basically we extended the capabilities of the Standardizer Pro and renamed it as Structure Checker.
I'll send you an updated academic teaching license to your email address.
I hope it will help.
Best regards,
Janos
