Server not allowed

Hello,





we have installed an academic version of JChem and once installed the license, it says, server application now allowed and there is a restriction -- could you please let me know what that means?

it means that the license itself is not a server mode license, i.e. you cannot use LicenseManager.setLicenseFile(String) with an URL parameter.





You can still put JChem on a server, and for example in case of a web application (e.g. JSP pages) the license file should be placed on the server in the home directory of the user that runs (owns) the web server.





However, the license file should be placed on the client side in case of Marvin applets or web applications having embedded Marvin applets to access the plugin calculations.
