Hi, we need to transfer our JChem installation to a new computer. However, it doesn't seem to let me just copy the .cxl file. The license manager acknowledges the license file but upon executing a calculation (using cxcalc for example), the license file is not valid.
Do we need a new license file to be generated perhaps?
Thanks

Hi,
I have looked up your license.
It seems you have a Calculations Pack license, which only enables the calculations inside JChem for Office/JChem for Excel (and also inside Instant JChem for those who have license for that).
Calculations Pack used to be a cheaper alternative, but restricted to these desktop applications.
AFAIK we no longer sell this construction, but it should still work with JChem for Excel for you, please let us know otherwise.
If you need to use the license in other places (e.g. cxcalc), you will need to upgrade your licenses, I suggest to contact your sales representative.
Kind regards,
Szilard
