We are using a nonstandard MOL extension for some files. Currently we store all MOL files in a JChem table. Will JChem retain the nonstandard MOL extension when it stores the MOL file?

Hi,
We always store the original structure source in the cd_structure field.
(except for removing data fields from SDFiles)
However we also compress some formats (including molfiles).
This is not a simple text compression, but non-standard lines are not compressed, so the extensions should be preserved.
For extra safety I suggest you to export some structures and check if the extensions are still present in the output.
