Tomcat Version

Is there a recommendation for the Tomcat version to use? I want to install on a Centos 5.2 machine. They provide tomcat packages however, they are not based on suns java. Is it a better solution to download tomcat separately and if so which version 5.5 or 6.x ?

We have no preferences for the Tomcat version.





Either of these should be good as long as you use Sun Java.
