JChem HW/SW requirement

Dear Readers,





We are in the process of buying and setting up a server in our lab to install JChem and Oracle -- however we have so many questions -- could you please share your experience with us about the required hardware and software?





More specifically we'd like to know


. Can we install Jchem and Cartridge on one Redhat Linux server (2cpu, 8GB memory) and expect reasonable performance?





2. Are there any image data stored outside the Oracle database? If so, how much disk space is needed?


3. We are preparing 100GB for this database, is that enough?


4. Oracle version: is oracle 10g or 11g certified for Jchem?

Yes RedHat Linux is supported.

No image data is stored outside Oracle.





Both Oracle 10g or 11g are supported.
