I am not able to open JChem Manager. I have given the appropriate URL in JChem Manager. The error message I am getting is java.lang.classnotfoundexception. My working platform is WindowsXP Home. How this error can be solved?

Hi,
You do not have the JDBC driver listed in your CLASSPATH system environment variable.
Please read this page in the documentation on how to set the environment variable:
http://www.chemaxon.com/jchem/doc/admin/prepscripts.html
You should include the jar file (and not the containing directory) in to your system CLASSPATH.

After giving the classpath including the driver file name(.jar) I get the error message Javalang.ClassnotFound.Exception. I am not able to activate the JChem manager.

Hi,
Could you copy / paste the entire error message here please ?
Maybe that provides more information.
Also, if using Windows do you have the JCHEMHOME environment variable set properly as stated in the instructions ?
As an alternative I also recommend taking a look at our new product Instant JChem:
http://www.chemaxon.com/product/ijc.html
It is very easy to setup (all you have to do is to launch an installer, and click a couple of "OK" buttons). It also comes with an embedded database, so one can start working in minutes.
Best regards,
