Hi,

I am trying to install a 3.0.5 version on our new base 10g (10.2.0.2), on a Linux server (we had installed this version successfully on a 9i, 2 years ago).

The cartridge installation (install.sh) seemed OK, but while testing (test.sh), I got the following message :

Code:
SQL> select jchem_core_pkg.getenvironment() from dual

       *

ERREUR à la ligne 1 :

ORA-29532: appel Java arrêté par une exception Java non interceptée :

java.lang.Exception: The following exception has been thrown by the servlet:

Exception:

java.vm.vendor: Blackdown Java-Linux Team, required vendor: Sun Microsystems

Inc.

ORA-06512: à "JCHEM.JCHEM_CORE_PKG", ligne 96

ORA-06512: à "JCHEM.JCHEM_CORE_PKG", ligne 108

Does it come from the Oracle 10g JVM ?

Thank you for any help !

The error message is coming from Tomcat. You apparently run Tomcat in a Blackdown Java runtime. We don't support Blackdown Java. For the JChemStreams web application, you have to start Tomcat with a Java runtime coming from Sun Microsystems.

Hi,

I also recommend upgrading to our latest version of JChem.

There has been a vast amount of improvements and fixes since 3.0.5, and it also guarantees you get most out of our support.

Thank you for your answer.

We have succeeded in configuring Tomcat, and are thinking about upgrading to the latest version.

Best regards,
