Hi Peter,

Just a quick question regarding the documentation; in your example for adding additional users does the phrase
Quote:
PL/SQL (as sys):
mean log on using an account which has SYSDBA privs, or specifically the SYS account as SYSDBA?

Cheers

Hi Paul,

To be honest, I always use SYS with SYSDBA privileges, but I guess you don't necessarily have to be SYSDBA. I guess SYSTEM would be also fine. Each user/role will do, if it has privileges to create synonyms, and grant privileges.

You can also create a dedicated user and keep granting system privileges to it, until it has all the system privileges required to grant all the privileges you want it to be able to grant.

Cheers,

Peter
