IJC on Citrix

We've installed IJC 5.9 on a terminal server (MS W2K8 R2, XenApp 6.0). It works for some users but for others Citrix begins to start IJC, then stops and the user is disconnected.

One guess is, that this might be an user rights issue. Is there documentation what user rights are needed to run IJC (like write access to certain folders etc.)?

Or are there any known issues with IJC and Citix?

Thanks

Hi Tilo,

We do have customers successfully using Citrix, so there whould be nothing fundamentally wrong here. You might be right about priviliedges. Are there any warning or log messages that might be helpful?

Hi Tim,

Unfortunately there is no additional information available, The last message displayed in the Citrix startup progress window is "Preparing your desktop...", then the window disappears and nothing happens. At the same time the user is disconnect from the terminalserver (as per the task monitor on the terminalserver.)

And this happens for some users, but for other users it starts OK?

If so, then I suspect it must be something to do with the user's profile, but its difficult to suggest what this might be. I would hope that your Citrix experts might be able to track this down, assuming something is logged somewhere.

It sounds like it crashes out before it gets to starting to run IJC?

Hi Tim,

changing the profile type from Roaming to Local for the affected users solved the problem.
