Hi,

I was playing around with a Calulated Field, but cannot delete it now. Can you make sence out of the error message?

Thanks,

Evert

It looks like a field used in calculated field is deleted. I can reproduce it when you use field from other entity (e.g. from detailed table) and the entity is then deleted.  You need at first to remove field mapping from calculated field customizer in schema editor. Let me know if it helped.  We will  fix this bug, thanks for this report.

Hi, this doesn't work, I get the same error message...

I confirms that there is no way how to remove the invalid field mapping from the calculated field. We will fix it for InstantJchem 5.7. The only way is to edit xml definition in schema manually.

Hi,

You need also to look inte how Calculated Fields that depend on relationships between tables are handled if a relationship is removed. This is sometimes necessary in order to edit data that is part of a relationship. I experienced that Calculated Fields that depend on the relationship are no longer calculated when removing the relationship (which makes sense) but they do not function either once the relationship between the tables involved is restored. And they cannot be modified or deleted anymore...

Thanks,

Evert

Hi,

This was supposed to be fixed in 5.7. On Windows I can now indeed delete Calculated Fields in local databases, but not on a Linux-based system (which is more crucial to me). I get a short message complainining about an unregistered database driver (see error_1) and the more detailed error_2.

Thanks

The problem with deleting calculated field is fixed in IJC 5.8. We are now finishing testing of IJC 5.8. Release can be expected in few days if no showstopper is found.

I can now confirm that this problem was solved by upgrading to IJC 5.8.

Keep up the good work!
