Create list from selection

Hi,

I noted that if data points are selected in a plot or histogram the corresponding rows in the accociated Grid View get selected as well. This is nice, but it would be even better if one then directly could create lists from the selected rows ('Create list from selection...'). And subsequently add other selections to the list ('Add to list...').

I hope you understand my request. Maybe already on the todo list?

Hi. You might already to this.

1. select some data in the chart


2. click "Save as List..." button in the toolbar (let's say "List 1")


3. select another data


4. click again "Save as List..." (let's say "List 2")


5. then select "List 1" and "List 2" in "List and Queries" window and unify them into "List 1"

It would be nicer if there would be "Add to existing list..." togehter with "Save as list...". We will discuss that.

Or might be somebody knows better way with the IJC 5.4.

Martin described how it's possible to do it in current IJC version.

We plan to implement Cherry picking feature (hopefully will start to work on it during Q2/2011). We will probably have some concept of "working list" with operations like Add selection to working list, Remove selection from working list. This Cherry picking feature is implemented in current IJC 5.6.0.2 version.
