...I think this is related to my other question from today about global font settings: the default setting I have in Mac OS X 10.6 is Lucida Grande 13pt so that seems to be what IJC is using as default...

The global font size can be changed by adding extra parameter on commandline
--fontsize <size>
for example
--fontsize 10
The parameter can be added to ${instant_jchem_inst}/etc/instantjchem.conf file. The global font settings doesn't work for forms.

The layout problem described at the start of this topic has been fixed and will be present in the next IJC release.
