Dear,

I have just upgraded to IJC 3.0.2. It looks really nice and I am looking forward to try the new features, but I have a problem displaying compounds in the grid view. The structure cells appear to be empty. When double clicking the structure cells the editor opens and the structures are displayed correctly.

This is certainly strange. I am running regularly on Mac and not seeing this.

Do you have any more info that might help diagnose the problem. e.g. does it happen all the time, or just for some data. Does it happen for newly created grid views as well as old ones?

One thing that might be worth trying is to run with a different version of Java. To do this edit right click on the instant jchem icon and choose 'Show package contents' and then edit the file
Contents/Resources/instantjchem/etc/instantjchem.conf
and edit the line that defines the Java VM to look something like this:

jdkhome="/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.5.0/Home"

However, I've tried running under Java 1.5 and 1.6 and can't reproduce this problem.

Thanks

Tim

It seems that the problem only occurs with the existing grid view in a project with a connection to a mysql database. There is no problem in the form view where the structure are displayed.

When I open a project with a local database everything is also OK.

I created a new grid view in the project with the mysql connection and this also turns out to be OK and all structure are shown.

So, I guess problem solved at my side.
