IJC3.0.1, JChem 5.2.5, Oracle 10g

Hello Tim,

I am trying to promote a materialised view "EDMS" for use in IJC however can't get past the first step, i.e. specifying a sequence name - please see the attached JPEG file - a sequence name cannot be specified - haven't seem this problem before but this is the first time I have tried it in IJC3. Any ideas?

KR & TIA,

Andy

Thanks for the report. I can reproduce this. It seems that is is specific to materialized views as normal tables seem to work OK. As a temporary solution you could try to create a normal table (create tables t_ edms as select * from edms) and use that.

We will try to fix this ASAP.

...that workaround is fine!

...spoke too soon - in fact the workaround didn't work: still get the same message that the "sequence name must not be empty" when I logon to IJC this morning and try to promote the entity...

Yes, the problem is slightly different to what at first appeared.

We have it fixed and there should be an update today.

Before then, you should be able to work around the problem by creating a dummy sequence in the database with the name that IJC is expecting. In your case you should create a sequence called SEQ_EDMS. Hopefully that should work.
