Thanks for the error details.
Unfortunately we are currently unable to reproduce this. Could you let us know which version of IJC you are using (Help -> About Instnat JChem) and what version of Mac OSX you are using.
Also, does this happen for all grid views you try to print (e.g try the demo project). From the look of the error it probably would affect all, but it would be good to be sure about this.
Also, does printing a form view work?
Thanks
Tim

The printing problem is with the grid view as well as form view. I can't also print it to the file. The details of the system and software are
Instant JChem Version: 2.5.2 (build: 090711)
JChem Version: 5.2.3
JChem Table Version: 5020100
Marvin Version: 5.2.3 (build date: 2009-07-10)
Java: 1.5.0_16; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.5.0_16-133
System: Mac OS X version 10.5.7 running on i386; MacRoman; en_US (instantjchem)
NetBeans build: 200903060201
Userdir: /Users/rparkesh/Library/Application Support/instantjchem/ijc_2_5
I observed the similar problem in the Mac OSX 10.4.7 also.
I haven't yet tried to print the demo project but i will it shortly and will let you know.

Update to my earlier e-mail. I tried to print from the demo project and it worked. I was able to print and even save to pdf file. So the problem is only in the new project which i create.

OK, so that would suggest that the problem is within the data file itself. It could be a problem with the characterset used in the imported SD file. Are you able to send us the data so that we can investigate further (you can send privately to tdudgeon at chemaxon.com)?
Also, just be be sure, does printing work with a different set of data (e.g different SD file) imported into the same database?
Thanks

Hi
The problem was only with this set of data. For others sdf file it worked fine. You are right it seems to be some character problem. In the error massage also it says invalid unicode character
I was wondering will this effect printing in marvin view also?

Thanks for the data sent separately. It helped track down the problem.
The cause is the greek characters in the field names (the micro symbol). If these characters are replaced with "u" symbols then it prints fine.
Currently we're not sure why this causes problems, but we'll investigate and try to fix it. In the mean time I suggest to change the field names in IJC (change the micro symbols to "u"s) and it should print OK.
