I want to share a project with multiple users via a network drive rather than a web server. I have followed the instructions found in this forum: http://www.chemaxon.com/forum/ftopic4303.html
It seemd like the IJC accepted the path to the *.ijp file but when opening the shared project We did not see any data.
Can anyone help us debug this?

How did you open the project on network drive? Can you write more details. Any error message was shown?
There are problems with UNC file name on network drive if you use File->Open project for it. The project is not shared too because ijc needs to write data to project folder. Therefore we recommend to rather use shared projects deployed via webserver (Tomcat), Look at
http://www.chemaxon.com/instantjchem/ijc_latest/docs/admin/ijc_urls.html
section "3. Deploy the IJC Server".
It allows to use IJC urls. Demo with IJC urls is available at

Thanks Petrfor your reply,
How did you open the project We don't have the Enterprise version and I would like to keep the system as simple as possible i.e. not go through a web server.

Petr, sorry for the chopped reply (See below my 2nd attempt)
“How did you open the project on network drive?” We opened the shared project on a mapped network drive that is accessible both from the project creators user and from other users as well
“Can you write more details. Any error message was shown?” We attempted to tackle this in two way. The first was to open the shared project from the File->open shared project menu. The Projects tab showed the project name but the window itself was empty i.e. no schema or tables. The second route we attempted was through the Tools->Options->Miscellenous->Shared Projects tab.
Both methods showed no error messages.
“…we recommend to rather use shared projects deployed via webserver…” We don't have the Enterprise version and I would like to keep the system as simple as possible i.e. not go through a web server.

HI,
I wanted to comment that Instant JChem Personal is free but sharing a single data source (regardless of where it is) needs a commercial license.
To explain, when we decided to make the free version, a key funcitonality we expected from industrial users was to be able to share a database, so we figure that this is a fair limit so most other features can be unlimited/full power in IJC Personal.
Can you tell me here or perhaps (email aa__at++chemaxon)(.)(com) about what you are trying to do
Cheers
Alex
