Hello together,
I have problems to download the corresponding files to the java web start version of Instant Jchem 2.4. I couldn´t find both downloadfiles at both links. Has there anything changed about access to this tools for Academic Package Users, or is simply a temporary fault.
- ijcinst-jws.zip - zip distribution of Java Web Start for local installation
- UrlWebApp.war - war file for IJC server application that provides 'IJC URL' functionality
Thanks,
Christian

the JWS download information on your download page is not correct. Is it possible to include the current version number on this page - to know whether it is worth downloading a new version?
http://www.chemaxon.com/instantjchem/ijc_latest/jws_stable.html
The link to the JWS deployment instructions on that page appear broken too.

Hi Dan,
I think the confusion comes from the announcement in the gallery area at the top of the page (box with 2.4 written in) which heads up most pages and content of the IJC page you mention, which doesn't list the latest version.
We are bringing in a new CMS driven web site which will be able to handle versioning/updating much more easily (no manual updating) and then we can include the version number in the page content.
Cheers
Alex

JWS works fine for me. Can you add more information (os version, jdk, etc) ? Any error message was shown? Logs from ijc jws ( lastWebstart.log) and ijc (messages.log) are available at
$HOME/.instantjchem/ws_3.0/var/log
You can probably fix it by unninstalling ijc jws application in java webstart viewer. The viewer can be executed from command line:
javaws -viewer
The javaws is available in java installation.
