Dear Tim et al,

Does LDAP authentication work in the development IJC WS 2.3? I choose Configure Security->Edit->Username/Password using LDAP server and get 'None specified' rather than the java provided in version 2.2.

Cheers

David,

you need to press the "Select" button. The text "None specified" will be replaced with the selected security template.

David,

we are going to improve usability of security panel in IJC 2.3. I'm not sure whether or not you were asking about migration security settings from IJC 2.2 to IJC 2.3. Is there any other problem?

Thanks

Hi Petr,

No, I wasn't talking about migration. I was just talking about setting up LDAP (which I have done before, but I had forgotten that you needed to press 'select', which at least to me is not very obvious). I think this panel would be improved if the security settings were shown as you selected different options from the menu and then selected using an 'accept' button.

I am also having problems in 2.3 with the installation of multiple copies of projects that are distributed via the http server. In some cases (although not all the time) a new copy of the project is installed in the projects window each time the webstart IJC is restarted by pressing the 'start IJC' button on the web page. Perhaps I am not supposed to start IJC this way?

Regards

You used it correctly. It's bug in our code. Thanks for catching the problem. I fixed it now. The bugfix will be available in IJC 2.3 release.
