IJC2.0stable add view fails

in my iJC 2.0 stable version and updated to the last at 8/26/2007


i can not add a view into an imported table from sdf file. In the attached file you find the log message.

By IJC 2.0 stable version do you mean the latest 2.0 release?

I am not able to reproduce it right now, but we are still trying to invoke this exception.





In the meantime, could you look at your IJC userdir (HOME/.instantjchem/ijc_2_0_final/var/log/messages.log) and check if there is any other problem before the exception you reported?





I was also looking at the code and it seems to me that the code for adding views is correct, so I suppose something wrong happened before this action.

Please can you go to your Oracle DB administrator and check how exactly is the IJC_VIEWS table defined ? Please paste the SQL for the table creation here. Also please check that you have "IJC_VIEWS_TRIGGER" trigger defined (also paste here the SQL).





The DB column which is reported as being set to null should be populated by the IJC_VIEWS_TRIGGER trigger on new row insertion.
