Hi,
Have you tested/run Instant JChem on a dual core system, particularly on AMD X2 systems?
I'm getting a new PC with an AMD X2 4600+ CPU and I was wondering if Instant JChem takes any advantages of the new dual core based CPU systems.
Thanks.

There should be no problems running on this platform (using Windows or Linux). If you find anything strange then please let us know!
Currently not all aspects may fully utilise the dual core technology, but we'll be doing our best to improve on this where possible!

I use Windows XP32 on AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+ since August and everything works fine. If I run any time consuming operation (search, opening table, etc.) the percentage of usage both cores is similar, so it uses the CPU effectively. I don't see any problem with IJC running on this processor.
btw - I am not sure what operating system you want to install there, but avoid Win XP 64.

Petr,
Thanks for the note. I had read in other forums that WinXp 64 is a bit problematic from getting the right drivers for video cards to other issues. So I was already thinking about NOT going for Xp 64.
I'll stick to WinXP Pro.
Thanks again Petr.
Best wishes,
- Guillermo.
