license issue after upgrading instantjchem 6.2.3 to 6.3

Dear all,

after upgrading instantjchem from 6.2.3 to 6.3 I cannot connect to a MYSQL database on a different computer. Before the upgrade, it worked fine.

Computer is running Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit

Error is: you are not allowed to connect to remote database.

Hi,

IJC Standard license is only meant to be used with local (Derby) database. It should not be working even in 6.2.3.

as I said, it worked until the 6.3 upgrade and we are using it this way with a MYSQL server since many years. Switching to local is possible but limits the application for us extremely.

Hi Thomas,

Academic license was never meant to be used with remote databases. Although it was not always explicitly forbidden.

We introduce this kind of license checking in IJC 6.0. This is more than a year old. When upgrading from 6.2 - nothing should have changed... if so, we should investigate.

Could you please send me your license file to fzimandl _at_ chemaxon.com ?
