Automatic Compound ID generation

Hi,

I would like to have a unique Compound ID generated for each unique structure that is added to a database. The Compound ID should consist of a prefix (e.g. ABC) followed by 6 digits, starting at 000001. I believe this is described somewhere in the documentation but I cannot find it.

Thanks,

Evert

Hi Evert,

I believe this can be achieved by using triggers on the database. Please seeĀ http://www.chemaxon.com/instantjchem/ijc_latest/docs/admin/tips/triggers/MySQL.html

Also if you need to register compounds, we can offer mini-reg system which is fully integrated into the IJC and utilise Groovy scripting language. Let us know if you are interested.

Thanks.

Hi Filip,

Yes, I would be very interested in knowing more about your fully integrated mini-reg system. I have tried working with triggers before but found this to complicated with the Derby-type databases.

Best,

Evert,

Currently we don't have any particular information about this mini registration system on the website. Although we plan to publish it. Basically it is lightweight brother of full Compound Registration system (http://www.chemaxon.com/products/compound-registration/). And it's fully dependent on IJC on the other hand IJC is only requirement for Mini-reg. Among other functionalities it provides staging area, standardizer and unique compound handling, compound ID generation... and many more.

For the moment I'll send you full overview via email.

Cheers,
FilipĀ
