Query regarding SDF File

Suppose we have 7-8 SDF Files with ID field as one of the attribute ,and we want to remove duplicates id's from all the files. Is there any way to remove duplicaies .Its urgent plz reply

Hi Monica,

yes this is possible, but there are a few deviations.

• It does not remove the duplicates from the source SDF files.


• It identifies structure duplicates according structure field. Is that satisfactory?

The procedure for removing structure duplicates would be following:

1. Create a new structure entity and enable Duplicate filtering option (checkbox in the New structure entity dialog).


2. Import SD files into the entity. If the structure is already present in the table then it will simply skip the import of that duplicate and write it to the error file. Importing will continue for unique structures.


3. You can export data in the entity to obtain new SD file with all structures without duplicates.
