Hello ChemAxon-Team,
I have a problem with the font: I'd like to export my molecules to the pdf-format with the serif-font.
Unfortunately it doesn't keep the font if I save my molecule as a .pdf. It always shows the sansserif-font.
Is there a solution for this?
Best Regards,
Julia

Hi,
you should specify the export option in this way: pdf:atomFont:Times New Roman-PLAIN-11 for example, to achieve that. There are certain formats that do not work either this way, but Times is not a Logical font, and somehow specifying the font family seems not enough in this case.
We will investigate this issue, I am filing an issue ticket into our tracking system.

Dear Istvan,
unfortunately we need this for our student courses. These students are new to chemical programs and do not use a command line (yet).
So we use the option "save as" and then type in ".pdf" .
In the example I chose the "serif" font. It does not matter which (standard looking) serif font it is, as long as it is possible to export one to pdf.

Dear Julia!
I am really sorry but we cannot fix this issue for 5.12.

Dear Efi,
we do not need this right now, but it is an important display of the molecules when writing essays or protocols for lab courses.
Will this be fixed in another version for one serif-font?

Julia

Hi Julia,
Yes. It will be fixed, we put it into our ToDo list, but not in the next versions
