Import of structures from other files

Hi,

Is there a way to import a molecule from any of supported file-formats into an existing document ?

For the moment I use openbabel to create a sdf file with everything I want to import, open it, copy/paste.

in MarvinSketch, if you choose an exsiting file to save a structure into it, there is a possibility to apped your current structure, after selecting the file in the file chooser dialog.

If you would like to merge files that contains multiple structures, it is possible with the help of the molconvert tool. Here is an example of merging two files:

molconvert sdf 1.mrv 2.mrv -o merged.sdf

where the first parameter is the output format, the -o parameter defines the output file, the other parameters specify all the input files. You can read more about the molconvert tool and its parameters on this page.
