I would be grateful if you could kindly help me to add coordinated water molecules as in this formula (2-hydroxybenzoate)2 Zn.4OH2 usin Marvin Sketch 5.9.4. Thank you

I have found the coordination arrow which solved the problem. However, no geometry or any other property could be calculated and obtained the following message ‘Calculation result is not defined for molecules with coordinate bonds’. Does MarvinSketch have limitation towards metal ion complexes? Thank you.

How would you like to add the waters? With coordinative bonds bind to the Zn2+, or as a text?

In the first case: please choose "coordinate" from the bond list (You can set the coordinate bond line style on the "Bond" tab of the preferences dialog. (Menu: Edit>Display>Preferences) )

In the second case: you can add text box selecting Insert>Text from the menu.

The coordinate bond drawing improved in Marvin version 5.10,
