How can I add the free radical button to my marvin sketch?

I have it in the non standalone marvin in my chemistry class, but not in the full version

I would like to use it in the full version, any instructions on adding it would be nice

thanks

Hi,

to add the Free radical button to your installed full version, you have to customize your MarvinSketch and place the button onto some of the toolbars.

You can do this by going to View>Customize menu and then on the opening dialog, choose the "toolbar" tab, select the toolbar on to you want to add the button (for example "Tools" toolbar), click on the "Add" button, on the second opening dialog choose "Insert Free Radical" and select the command you wish for the button to do, and at the end press the Add button.

After closing the dialogs, the button will be there on your toolbar, and the customization will be saved into your hard drive, and loaded when you run MarvinSketch again.

You have plenty of other options, to try out if you want to explore the customization possibilities, you can always go back to one of the default configurations. You can find more information in the documentation starting from here.

I hope this helps.

Feel free to play with it, you can always reset your configurations if you want, and you also able to save, load and name your configurations.

If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
