Problems MarvinSketch canvas images

Hi,

as already discussed in another topic there are problems handling MarvinSketch formulas as images, please see:

Doing the following, you get all formulas in acceptable images:

1) Enlarge the formulas in MarvinSketch using the button 400%.

2a) Then do "Select All - Copy". The formulas can be outside the visible MarvinSketch window.

3a) GIMP recognizes in the clipboard a fine image with all formulas in good pixel resolution 620 * 654, see attached image (The background is changed to yellow to see the total image).

But now there are the problems doing as step 2) the following:

2b) "Select All - Save As - PNG Image" produces an image file having only the visible canvas and only 434 * 350 pixel. What's wrong ?

Why is the handling of the canvas image different for file saving and clipboard handling ?

I think it should be easy to change the file saving to the same format as for clipboard handling.

first of all, thank you for the report. We were aware of this issue, but to solve this is part of the plan at the time when we are reviewing and refactoring the high level handling of image io in Marvin applications. This is not the highest priority for now, so currently i can not tell an exact release or date when the fix is expectable.

We will inform you in this topic when the behaviour will have been changed. Thank you for your patience in the mean time.

the 5.12 release of Marvin will have fixed the issue with the Save As Image option. Thank you again for your patience.
