we use the marvin.js script to start the marvin applet within a webpage. However the script wants to install java 1.6 but i already have 1.7 installed

short of installing 1.6, what's the solution here?

this is with the latest ver 5.91 using the marvin-bin-5.9.1.zip installation package.

Also the applet opens right up on another workstation that has java 1.6.0.31 installed

we are working from an https website if that matters

The marvin.js generated applet code requires 1.6 compatible Java Plugin.

If it does not accept your Java 1.7 plugin, it means that your plugin is not recognized as an 1.6 compatible plugin.

It may be a platform specific Java issue.

I uninstalled & reinstalled my java 1.7 environment and the problem has been resolved. I think something was messed up with the config of the JRE.

thanks

Thanks for the feedback. I am happy that the problem has been solved.

I assume that the Java plugin was not installed properly. It seems that reinstallation has fixed this issue.
