Wileyplus Molecular Drawing/Marvin Sketch Not Loading

The Molecular Drawing/Marvin Sketch is not loading in my Wileyplus. I have the updated java and have tried on chrome, IE, and Firefox. I have also left it to load for over an hour.

Without a detailed bug report, answering is not easy. There can be several reasons why applet loading failed.

First of all, check whether other applets failed on your machine. Please try MarvinSketch example from our site:

If your browsers can load this example fine, it means that it is a WileyPlus specific issue. Probably some settings for the applet is not proper on WileyPlus site or they use an old Marvin version that can not load under certain platform.

In this case, you should notify them to check it.

If you can not load applet either form WileyPlus or from ChemAxon site, it means there is a configuration issue on your side. Please check your settings:

- Consider that MarvinSketch support only Oracle Java 1.6 and above versions (under OS X, Apple vendored Java is supported).

- Please check the Java Console. Generally error messages are printed there. If you share its content with us, it can help a lot to identify the problem.

- Deleting the content of the Java cache in most cases can solve the problem. Sometimes old jars are sticked into the cache. It may cause unexpected error by applet. In the linking forum topic, you can see how to purge it:
