Hi,

One of our users reported an issue with the applet menus in Firefox 8.0.1 on Mac OS X 10.7.2

I was able to reproduce the issue on our installation as well as on your examples at http://www.chemaxon.com/marvin/examples/applets/sketch/embed.html.

Example of the issue:

Move the mouse over the Bond Menu item -> The drop-down submenu shows up (image 1)

Move the mouse down over the dropdown menu -> The drop-down submenu disappears and is replaced by the File drop-down submenu (image 2)

Any ideas?

Thanks,

David

Anybody got a chance to take a look? This bug makes it impossible to use the applet menus.

Thanks,

David

Hi,

It looks like it's a Firefox (or Java embedding plugin) bug in the new version (8.0.1). With the previous version (7.0.1) our applet works fine. Try to use that one since they fix the bug.

Erneszt,

Thanks for tracking it down and confirming the issue. Could you provide a link to the bug you filed with Mozilla regarding this issue?

Thanks,

David

Since we don't know the specific problem with the menu focus, we cannot report it to Mozzilla. We're working on it.

If we find out something, we'll infrom you.

Hi David,

We found out that this bug is not releated to our code.

Someone already reported it to bugzilla.

As they desribe it there is a workaround to flank this bug.

With SHIFT + COMMAND button you can drag the applet from the browser, after that this bug exsists no more.
