User defined location for custom amino acids dictionary

Hello,

I believe that you can place the file "custom amino_acids.dict" in a location other than the standard place by using setting a system property on startup. Please can someone tell me what the key is as I cannot find it anywhere?

Also does anyone know if it is possible to use a URl for the file location and can we load the file from the URL and store the file on a web server?

Hi Tim,

the path of the custom amino acid dictionary is not configurable currently in Marvin. So the Marvin peptide import will use it from the chemaxon dir.

We can consider to introduce a parameter for this, how urgent and important is this for you?
