For the copying: please use the Copy as... function in MarvinSketch, select the structure, right-click on it, choose Copy as.. from the menu. Choose MDL MOLfile format, so the ChemDraw insert will keep the style you have set in the ChemDraw document. The CDX format in the Copy as list will maintain the coordinates of the atoms and bonds as drawn in Marvin (or any source).
You may load several journal formatting styles in the Edit>Format... dialog box. Choose the Apply changes for all the atoms/bonds, click on Load Style and choose the style. If it is not available in the list, you can create it by setting the properties of atoms and bonds, then click on Save Style.

Hi,
to reach the copy as easily, you can use the ctrl+K keyboard shortcut, or you can redefine it if you want to any suitable key combination on View->Customize dialog on KeyMap tab. After once you set the MOL file format n the dialog that will be the default, so to copy as again in MOL file format will be a combination of ctrl+K and rigth after that an enter.
For the jurnal style currently we do not have any parameter or setting. You can create a shortcut to the Edit->Format dialog, to reach the dialog easier. We will consider to store the settings on that dialog panel, and to create a keyboard shortcut to apply the actually set format options. How important is this for you, and how urgent?
