MVIEW copies PNG/jpg different from shown structure

Hi,

I have a struc with all stereos manually removed,

if I copy that as JPG or PNG under WIN it will still copy the stereo bonds,

tried to save but does not help.

Actually that is very annoying because I need the SMILES without stereo

and whatever trick I do it will keep the O[C@@]3 in the structure.

Just to show its possible to copy a struc without stereo I was redrawing it.

Product Version:
MarvinSketch 5.3.2
Build Date:
2010-04-16

See attached struc.

(I edited the manual struc, it had one oxygen missing, but the issue remains)

Hi Tobias,

I cannot reproduce this issue, but maybe I don't do the same steps that you do. What do you mean by "manually removed"? I did the following steps:

1. Opened the file: pim2-template-download6897.mrv

2. Deleted the explicit H-s from the stereo centers (the wedge bonds moved to the non-ring oxygen automatically, which is correct)

3. Changed the wedge bonds

4. Copy As > PNG: see attached file

5. Save as MRV: see attached file

Best regards,

Hi,

the PIM2 template has all stereo information removed visibly, but they are hidden underneath.

so now I want to generate a nice looking graphics, copy into PPT and still the stereo information is there. See pic.

Hi Tobias,

Can you tell me (step by step) how did you remove the stereo information? I still cannot reproduce this issue. When I follow the steps I wrote, the stereo information is really removed, I checked the source.

Regarding the insertion of structures into PPT files, just out of curiosity: why don't you use OLE copy instead?

Hi,

the structure opens without any stereo bonds in mview, correct?

But if you look into  the source it still has all bonds attached.

However I can not reproduce it either. Sorry.

This must be the bug that I cannot reproduce then, because if I open the PIM2-template.mrv in MarvinView, it shows the stereo bonds correctly. See attached picture.
