May I request that when aromatic bonds join atoms that are in a ring, e.g. in C1CcccC1, that the dashed bond should appear inside the ring, not outside? See the attached figure.

Hi Bob,
Sure. We are planning to improve both the aromatic bond and the double bond paintins. Hopefully we will have capacity for that in 5.4.
Best regards,
Akos

Hi Bob, I have a question here:
Why are these bonds "aromatic bonds" ?
I can only see an allyl-pi-system and the second question is: Anion, Kation or Radical ?

It is a pi-allyl system, but the bonds that one uses to draw it in MarvinSketch are called "aromatic" bonds for historical reasons.
We draw a pi-allyl in MarvinSketch only in preparation for converting it to a multicenter attachment point and then attaching a metal to it. The isolated pi-allyl in MarvinSketch does not represent a real chemical species, and there is no way to assign charge to it.
