remove abbreviated S-group menu

Is it possible at all to remove or suppress the abbreviated S-group menu?

In some of our classes instructors want students to draw out all atoms/groups completely, but if students can access the abbreviated S-group menu they can potentially by-pass that requirement.

I looked in the customization.xml documentation and in the various options in the GUI, but couldn't find any references.

Can it be done? Can it be restricted to atom names only by modifying some underlying file?

unfortunately it is currently not possible.

We already have this request registered, but we cannot schedule it before the 5.3 release.

the parameter will be available in 5.3.1 which is scheduled to the end of March.

Example of usage will be included in this applet example.

I would like to inform you that we had to make an urgent patch release that was named 5.3.1, therefore the parameter will be included only in the patch release coming at the end of March (probably named 5.3.2).
