Marvin View printing issues

Marvin Beans 5.2.2 (Enduser), JRE 6u14, WinXP

Hi,

whatever I try I can't get any useful output/printout from Marvin View. The data table is a simple SD file containing chemical structures and some properties.

Printing to pdf or print preview adapt row height and column width to fit the whole table to a single sheet of paper, making the result unreadable.

Printing to physical printer also fails. If I choose "Print all", nothing is printed. In fact there is no print job created. "Print all visible" at least creates a print job, but prints one blank sheet only.

Are those issues known and are there possible workarounds?

Thanks in advance

Daniel

Either Print, Print PDF and Print Preview give the same output. The visible rows/columns in the current MarvinView application determine the printer output layout. Decrease the numer of visible rows/columns in MarvinView if it would be unreadable.

In MarvinView, I could reproduce Print issue (do not give any output). We will debug it.

Thans for your reply.

This seems to be introduced with 5.2.0. Anyway, today I've tested a couple of older versions between 4.1.9 and 5.1.7 and actually none produced satisfying print output :-(

Have a nice weekend

I can also imagine that it may be a configuration issue. We are checking it.

Hi again,

as far as I can see recent versions (5.2.3) did not improve the situation. Is there still hope that this issue will be fixed in the near future?

Dear Daniel!

Tamas is currently out of office, he may give you more details when he is back.
As far as I can tell the mentioned problem is in our bug database, and scheduled to be fixed in the near future. We will inform you as soon as the fix is ready.
